Before being transplanted into the tobacco fields, the seedlings will spend up to 40 days in these specially prepared beds. At this point, only the strongest, healthiest plants are hand-selected and transplanted. What we're growing here is Havana seed tobacco. That is seed that came originally from Cuba that has been growing here in Honduras.
